Today’s the day!! It’s launch day for my new brand AND my new website!! I cannot tell you how amazing it feels to have a new face for my business that was truly made for me, and I am so excited to share it with everyone!

 

This change had been on my mind for a while, but I wanted to make sure that the timing was right before I took the leap and started searching for a brand designer that seemed like the right fit. Then one night while I was up browsing the internet at some ridiculous hour, I found Ribbon & Ink.

I knew that Katie (the boss lady behind R&I) was going to be the first and only person that I would contact as soon as I read her mission statement. Her goal is, to “empower creative business owners to reach for their dreams by creating innovative brands that inspire confidence”. I mean, SOLD!!

Katie and I exchanged a few emails back and forth going over my style and possible vision for my new brand, but to be completely honest, I was extremely open to her professional opinion! She gave me very extensive questionnaires in order to get to know exactly how I wanted my business to be portrayed.

It just so happens that Katie is also a Maryland girl, so I was lucky enough to have our first meeting in person at her home! She first presented me with a mockup of my ideal client, and let me tell you, she was spot on. It’s like she was living inside my head, which I’ve found is extremely helpful when you are creating something so personal for someone!

After our meeting, it felt like it was no time at all until I started receiving different logo design options, color palettes, and patterns from Katie. Like I said, it was as if she was reading my mind!

My hope is for my clients to get to know me as a person, and not just as their wedding photographer. I tell everyone that I work with that they will probably be spending more time with me on their wedding day than with their fiancé. I don’t know about you, but if I’m spending that much time with someone, I want to feel like they’re my friend!!

Any of my closest friends will tell you that when I’m not shooting weddings, they can find me planning my next big adventure. While I was very open to all new ideas when it came to my rebrand, I knew that the most important thing I wanted to incorporate was my love of travel.

One of my favorite parts of my new website is the Adventure section. Katie designed an amazing map where you can click different countries I’ve been to (as well as where I’m going!) and see photos that I’ve taken of my favorite spots and (of course) favorite foods!

Katie of Ribbon & Ink went above and beyond in making my dreams come to life. My ultimate goal in this process was to finally have a brand that reflects me from the inside out, and now I feel like it finally does!!

I’m so excited to have this new platform where I can share not only my clients’ biggest love-filled adventures, but also my own!
